I like to see pianos as furniture, but I do think they need to be played. I wish I could. (I wish I’d had the motivation to keep practicing.)

I’ve recently discovered a young pianist on YouTube, Sonya Belousova, who transposes theme songs from popular TV shows/films/video games for the piano, and then makes videos playing them in costume – “Cosplay Piano”. This is her website:

Or rather two pianos, because it was two homes. Grandmothers old, yellow with candilabres and mothers modern (this was in early 1960:s). Unfortunately only the latter is alive today. We never play, the practising as a child did not do much good, but when my aunt (88 years old) comes to visit the piano is played on and it is happy. If feels like old, gone Days.
