In reply to paleksworld. How frustrating, Aleks! To have such a clear idea of where the book is (was) but not to be able to go and pick it up to check the title. Such a pleasure to read about a part of your childhood memories. Brighton and Hove sound like they were quite a nice place to grow up in, despite eight different schools attended. On the topic of libraries, I still remember my Middle School library and I have been desperate to remember the name of a book I borrowed there once. It was a history book based on a real story of a young woman and man during WWII. I just remember I loved the book and I know exactly which bookshelf it stood on. I just can’t remember what it was called or the author. Very annoying.
