Tråkigt att du har lagt ned så mycket onödigt jobb på ett projekt som inte gav något i slutändan. Som du skriver, det hade varit bättre om du hade lagt ned den tiden på att marknadsföra ditt projekt, istället för att marknadsföra FBM. Önskar dig lycka till med ditt bokprojekt, för jag ser fram emot att läsa den! Hoppas att den är på svenska!

Thanks Eva, yes – nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I do think crowd funding has a part to play and will be more significant in the future. Just at present, though, the books that manage to attract enough support to be published seem to be related to charities or to other organisations which have already a very powerful campaigning strategy or high profile; or they are pitched at a target group who are already knowledgeable and comfortable with the idea of crowdfunding.

One exception is the British crowd funding publishers Unbound that I’ve written about earlier. I’ve interviewed Michelle Thomas, one of their authors, and I must get that written up and published one of these days.

Interesting but sad. Like you say, few people have heard about it. It might be easier in some years. When everybody at least knows there are no crows involved … A good try though, one should always try!
