All the books I read in 2016 as I kept my New Year resolution. This article is part 1 of 2 because I managed to read more than the 50 books that was my target, and I’ve got something to say something about each of them.

This is a list of the 30 or so books that I managed to read all the way through during 2015, together with a little information about, each of them.
The author Iain Banks (aka Iain M Banks) died, age 59, on Sunday 9th June 2013. A witty, intelligent and very able writer of “mainstream” and SF, as well as a defender of humanism, in all senses of that word.
